My practice is as a designer/maker of wallpapers.
I look at different aspects of a room or space then try to add a new quality or complementary quality to that space by creating a wallpaper to sit within it and the rest of its interior products. I like my wallpaper to have pictures hung on top it, chairs rested against it, it is to be part of an interior, no matter how complex or expensive it is wallpaper, not art.

This wallpaper marries modern technology to Shakespeare's text, stepping between the lines of machine, time and hand, balancing all three elements to create something new. The text is from Mid Summer Nights Dream, hand written by my sister because I've grown up always in awe of her hand writing and then given to a digital embroidery machine and operator. Hopefully making in the end something new, it surprises people, you glance and think you know what you are seeing, you can read what you see but then up close you realize it is stitched, and its wallpaper, it is a surprise.
Sequin wallpaper
Hand printed wallpaper with a design made up of grid structure of sequins to which 1000's of randomly applied sequins are added. They add texture and colour to the paper but also add light and reflections
to the rest of the space they are in. First designed in 1999 these are the latest 2006/2007 development of the design. It has been applied to walls and ceiling in bars, hotels and houses each time adding a new dimension to the space, depending on lighting and position for its final effect.
Jigsaw wallpaper
Wallpaper designed with a base grid - hand screen printed - to give a structure for the jigsaw pieces to follow. These are all hand drilled and then hand tagged on. It takes about 2,00 per sq mt but all the pieces are from old jigsaw, reclaimed and re cycled into a new wallpaper. It add depth, shadow, texture to a wall, you are not sure from the distance what you are observing and then up close it becomes sort of clear because you now what they are but never what the full jigsaw image is, they are applied randomly so will never make up a total image.
