RESEARCH

Sue Bradley

My main area of research is into creating felted knitted fabrics. I have been researching into historical costume detail at the Bath Museum of Costume as a reference for embellishment and garment shape. I have become an active member of the International Felt makers association and have been researching into yarns and fibres by visiting Premier Vision/Expofil trade show in Paris. I have also visited other institutions to investigate their machinery, equipment and yarn contacts.

Recent Projects:

  • Commissioned by the charitable organisation Blind Art to produce 5 garments/wearable art pieces inspired by the senses.
  • To be exhibited through wearing to promote the organisation at various events and showcased at the private view of ‘Sense and Sensibility’, Bankside Gallery, London, September 2006
