MA Design: Interaction Design

This unique Masters course celebrates multimedia as a unifying digital medium. Fusing object spaces, imagery and sound, underpinned with contemporary theory, the course raises awareness and encourages debate of the cultural and theoretical issues of the discipline.

From visual design to technical implementation, the course provides students with skills in envisioning, creating, prototyping and evaluating new ideas in this changing field.

Based on contemporary thinking in Interaction Design, core modules cover a range of topics such as tangible computing, interactive narrative, collaboration and social networking. With an emphasis on the development of meaningful places and artefacts, the course will help you to understand and develop opportunities for people to interact with share experience in digital technologies.

The course is taught by practicing professionals: multimedia artists and designers, programmers, theoreticians and cultural historians. Students have good access to specialist equipment covering a full range of digital origination and project realisation via a dedicated Digital Centre of Excellence.
